Introduction
It requires an eclectic knowledge of electronic commerce and traditional business practices to design a website to meet the needs of our clients' clients. At SeMu, we have attained the formal qualifications (click here), achieved academic awards (click here) and gained the necessary business acumen to offer you genuine value for your investment.
Electronic commerce is more than just having a website. When we design your website we consider the requirements and interactions of your clients, employees, suppliers and all stakeholders. Your website must be a holistic, living entity growing and developing in tandem with your business. All SeMu websites (not including WebLite) include a Content Management System (CMS) which provides you with the facility to update parts of your website yourself as factors change over time.
SeMu integrates each facet of your business from e-marketing to online processing of order transactions and payments. We do this at extremely competitive rates as we operate as a “real virtual organisation”.
If you believe the progressive thinkers of today, such as Don Tapscott, (Digital Capital, May 2000) then you will wholly subscribe to the view that business in five years time will be virtually (forgive the pun) unrecognisable from the business processes and methods of today.
Another example is the upcoming potential convergence of third generation (3G) mobile communications, bluetooth, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and the ubiquitous personal network. If you think you use your mobile phone just to make a phone call you better think again. The mobile phone of tomorrow (or late this evening!) will be blindingly fast, broadband speed (3G) will have the processing power and application content of the fastest desktop PCs of today (PDA) and will invisibly communicate with personal computers, televisions, refrigerators, microwave ovens etc etc etc (Bluetooth).
All of our websites are developed with WAP and bluetooth in mind which means that in the future you will be able to connect to them through your mobile phone and so will your clients. Most websites being developed today do not have that capacity built in to them. With our academic background (see about us) you can rest assured that we know what we are talking about.
With respect to pricing we have adopted a “get rich slow” philosophy. Most businesses tend to charge hourly rates and then see how much they can insidiously push the “hours charged” boundary. We offer incredibly cheap rates (see product pricing) the question we are normally asked by clients is, “how can you stay in business if your prices are so low??” However, it is amazing how one can establish a satisfactory income when one does not ultimately depend on that income. I am not saying we do it for love but I am saying we enjoy the commercial and intellectual challenge.
Our approach in a nutshell is to “think”, think long and hard and continually about your website, your future requirements and your business process. We think outside the nine dots. We charge a price which hopefully means that NO time will be spent haggling or negotiating and an ingratiating feeling of “incredible value” will emerge from our clients
